TITLE: Nancy Drew Riverboat Ruse

AUTHOR: Carolyn Keene

GENRE: Mystery

PAGES: 152

My Review: The main characters in this book are Nancy Drew, Bess, George and the captain of the boat. First, Nancy gets invited to a cruise ship, for this really fancy entertainment and meals, until things go very wrong. As some of you may or may not already know, Nancy has been fighting crime for many years so she is now officially a detective. With the help of her friends, Nancy can accomplish almost anything! Ok, so here’s where the small bump in the road takes action, there is the most valuable necklace in the world around this woman’s neck…. BOOM!! Gone in a flash with no evidence. Now Nancy really has a case on her hands. Then, very bad things happen to the entertainment, they are missing a performer and they are all jumbled around, it’s hard to get back in place. What else do you think can go wrong? Well, you just should find out!

Read Nancy Drew Riverboat Ruse today! Mysterious fun for all ages!! Make your own suspect list and follow Nancy Drew’s footsteps, for one day you will have a case of your own! I highly recommend this to EVERYONE!!! Thanks for reading and hope you like it!!

Title: Stargirl

Author: Jerry Spinelli

Genre: Fiction

Pages: 186

My Review: Stargirl is a good novel.  I just started Love, Stargirl. I think when Leo tells Stargirl to change so his life will be less complicated is a bit rude and he needs to just accept how she is. I read this book and instantly got the second book. My mom also read it and so have some of my friends and they all liked it!

I recommend that you should read this book. I really liked Stargirl but not Leo. Leo was sometimes really mean to others and he got mad when Stargirl said she didn’t want to change yet and that she didn’t care if other people didn’t talk to her. I liked Stargirl because she cares only about others and puts others first. There were no pictures in the book Stargirl. I learned that I need to always put other people first.

Harry Potter Series

by J.K. Rowling

I am reading the 3rd Harry Potter book (The Prisoner of Azkaban).  In every book Harry Potter is a wizard and his friends (Ron & Hermione) are too.  They go to school at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  There are 7 books in the series - Philospher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows.

I think these books are good books for students in Grades 4 and up.  I like the magic and mysteries that happen in every book.

Warriors - Tigerstar & Sasha - Into the Woods

By Erin Hunter

In this book, Sash is a house cat in the city and she has many friends in the city and they sort of fend for her.  Then one day she goes to the woods and in the woods every cat has to fend for themselves.  She ended up hating it there.  She wanted to go home but she got so attached and she now has to choose.

My opinion is that this book has the best ending ever.

Title: Everest

Author: Gordon Korman

Genre: Adventure

Review: This story is about these four children in this training camp to see if they have the skills to climb the tallest mountain in the world, Everest. There are three books in this series. Some are not ready for what lays ahead and some will not stop to get to the top.

I recommend this book from ages ten and up. If you like Gordon Korman this will be the perfect book for you.

A Shift of Fate

By Sonja Crawford

This book is about a girl who runs away from home because she find a mind-reader dog.  I really like this book because I like fiction books.  Another reason why I like this book is because I like animals and there are lots of animals in this book.  If Sam had not found the dog she would have died.

I recommend this book for Grades 4-7.

Harry Potter:  The Philosopher's Stone

J.K. Rowling

I've almost finished the Harry Potter series, and I'd have to say Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is the brightest, most exciting, and inspiring book.  This is the book where Harry finds out about the wizardry world, Hogwarts, and meets Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Hagrid, Neville, and (unfortunately) Snape and Malfoy.

This is probably my favourite book ever.  It's really, really awesome, and a lot of the time, really funny.  This is probably good for grade 4-6 ( and maybe some awesome 3rd graders).  I recommend this book to all, and I think it might start world peace (no really).

Star Wars - The Clone Wars

By Heather Scott

I am reading Forces of Darkness Star Wars book.  In this book R2-D2 is beating up R3-S6 because hs is a spy and a bad guy.  General Grievous programmed R3-S6 to spy on Anakin and wreck his missions.  R2-D2 defeats R3-S6 in a battle.

I really like these books because I like Astromech droids and Partical Droids.  They are kind of silly.  If you like Star Wars, you'll like these books.

Shiloh

By Phyllis Reynolds Naylor

Right now I am reading Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor.  This story is about an 11 year old boy who finds a Beagle and becomes in love with that dog.  When this 11 year old named Marty finds out that his owner was treating him really badly like kicking him, Marty decides to hide him from his owner named Judd.  Also, Marty decides to name the Beagle Shiloh.

I think that his book is really good but sometimes it can get a little sad.  This book is a really good book.  Also, I think that his book is suitable for grades 3+.
