KG Projects

 In Science, we have been learning about TREES.  We talked about the different parts of a tree; we learned about the seasonal changes we see in trees; we sorted different types of leaves; and we even got to go outside and observe trees in our school yard. We will be continuiing to look at our school yard trees throughout the school year.

In early September, we practised counting backwards from 5 using the song, "Five Green and Speckled Frogs".

KG Kids had lots of fun creating and sharing their "Reading Treasure Boxes".  The highlight of the day was receiving their own special "KEY" to go with their reading box.  Happy Reading!

We have been learning sight words in our classroom.  A fun way to learn these words is through classroom books that we create together.  Here is a book we made into a photostory.  Can you guess what sight word we were learning?

KG Kids have been learning about "rhyming words".  We have used Nursery Rhymes to help us in our studies.  As a finale to this unit, KG Kids had a very special "Nursery Rhyme Time" hosted by Mother Goose! Check out the following video clips of our Nursery Rhyme Children in action! (COMING SOON)
